230VAC Systems
230VAC sensors offer many benefits, with direct mains operation, compatibility and the ease of retrofitting with most 230VAC lighting and site infrastructure. 230VAC is a practical, cost efficient scalable to solution that provides energy savings for offices, warehouses, apartment and hotels.
iAutomation’s own dedicated 230VAC sensor (iA20), offers a cost efficiency that complements any stand-alone lighting control system as part of a full solution offer.
KNX
KNX is an open protocol building control system that iAUTOMATION uses within the commercial construction sector as a lighting control system. There are over 400 major global electronic manufacturers such as GVS, ABB, Philips, Bosch, Siemens and Schneider that are signatories to the protocol and supply products and support to the bus protocol. As a result, it is a well-supported bus system with depth in both solutions and availability of product with over 35 years in product development and is a well-supported protocol both locally and globally.
iAUTOMATION was one of the original distributors and integrators of KNX bus systems and is one of the few KNX integrators in Australia with over 20 years experience in developing KNX bus systems in the commercial construction space.
DALI-2
DALI-2 is an innovative bus system for lighting control based on the latest version of DALI protocol, comparable in flexibility and functionality with KNX, but less expensive, simpler and reliable in operation. Our large range of DALI-2 occupancy detectors offers the right detector for applications in all types of buildings, from single rooms to high-bay warehouses. DALI-2 is open to other building automation systems via BACnet/IP.
PLC - Program Logic Controller
PLC lighting control is an industrial-grade automation system used to manage and automate lighting circuits in commercial, industrial, and large residential buildings. It monitors inputs such as switches, occupancy sensors, daylight sensors, and timers, and executes programmed logic to control lighting outputs through relays or contactors.
PLC for lighting control offers high flexibility, scalability, and precision. Lighting schedules, energy-saving strategies, and scene controls can be easily programmed and modified. PLC systems also integrate seamlessly with building management systems (BMS), enabling remote monitoring, energy optimization, and improved operational efficiency. Designed for durability and continuous operation, PLC solutions provide dependable performance in demanding environments.
Hybrid Systems
iAUTOMATION will at times look at the functional requirements of projects and design hybrid solutions which incorporate the best of all system offerings. Through this approach, iAUTOMATION can optimise the functional outcome for a given price point. Numerous projects have been undertaken using this approach especially if the customer requires high functionality but has limited budget to produce that outcome.
